Description

This Radium Engineering fuel hanger replaces the stock fuel pump assembly. No cutting or modifying of the vehicle's sheet metal or fuel tank is required for installation. The available dual pump add-on kit allows the addition of a second fuel pump to the hanger.

To connect to your stock fuel lines, use the Fuel Hanger Connection Kit.

20-2790 Hanger 90-05 NSX Fits Walbro GSS342 or AEM 50-1200

OVERVIEW

This Radium Engineering fuel hanger replaces the stock fuel pump assembly. No cutting or modifying of the vehicle's sheet metal or fuel tank is required for installation. The fuel pump is positioned in the factory collector bowl for fuel starvation protection.

The fuel pump outlet is tapped for 8AN ORB (3/4"-16) female threads on the top plate. The preinstalled -6AN male fitting permits an aftermarket feed line and/or connects to the plumbing kit.

The return inlet is tapped for 6AN ORB (9/16"-18) female threads on the top plate. The preinstalled -6AN male fitting permits an aftermarket return line and/or connects to the plumbing kit.

All fittings are machined low enough to clear the factory sheet metal.

PUMP COMPATIBILITY

This hanger is compatible with one fuel pump. Choose the best fuel pump based on the expected engine power output, fuel type (gasoline, E85, etc.), and fuel pressure. To add a second pump, add the 20-2796 Dual Pump Add-On to your purchase.

If installing a brushless pump you will be limited to one pump, and the dual pump add-on can NOT be used due to the extra brushless controller wires.

ELECTRICAL

The custom designed anti-rotation stainless steel electrical studs easily handle the high current demand that compact multi-pin bulkhead connectors lack. These serviceable connections are hermetically sealed and impervious to all standard and exotic fuels. Non-conductive anodized aluminum acorn nuts are provided to prevent any accidental short circuiting. Furthermore, the in-tank wiring is insulated with high quality chemically resistant ETFE.

NOTES

  • Single Walbro GSS342 (255LPH) fuel pump installations can re-use the OEM fuel pump wiring.
  • It is recommended to upgrade OEM wiring to ensure the pumps are receiving full power and operating at their full potential.

The architecture of this fuel tank is very unique. Because the opening is so small, 2 pumps cannot fit through at the same time.

The pump 2 assembly is placed in the tank first followed by the pump 1 assembly. An electrical plug and a SAE quick connector eliminate the need to perform tedious assembly before dropping the entire assembly into the tank. Both fuel pumps merge into the single 8AN ORB outlet of the fuel hat. And because of the integrated check valves, fuel pump staging is permitted.

The Fuel Hanger Connection Kit connects this fuel pump hanger to the factory fuel lines. A 6AN feed line is constructed to mate to the OEM fuel filter. Also, an adapter is provided to reuse the OEM return line.
