QA1

QA1 is an American manufacturer of performance suspension and driveline components, including coil-over systems, adjustable shocks, rod ends and ball joints. Its products are used in street machines, drag cars, circle track racers and classic muscle cars.

Founded in 1993 and based in Lakeville, Minnesota, QA1 began by supplying rod ends, spherical bearings and custom linkages to the motorsport industry. It expanded into shock absorbers after acquiring Hal Shocks in 1998 and has since grown into a large operation with extensive office and manufacturing space in Lakeville.

The range includes front coil-over systems for classic GM vehicles, Proma Star and Stocker Star series shocks in single- and double-adjustable versions, and X Series Endura rod ends. QA1 also produces quick disconnect ball joints, spanner wrenches, thrust bearing kits and other tools and hardware to support suspension set-up.

Adjustable damping lets drivers tune their car for the street or track, while aluminium shock bodies help reduce weight without sacrificing strength.
