PRL Motorsports is the preferred manufacturer & supplier of high quality performance parts for modern Honda / Acura platforms, such as intercoolers, intake & exhaust systems, turbocharger upgrades, flex fuel sensor kits & more. We don't just provide products and services, we provide a memorable, 1-on-1 customer experience.

Where it Started...

Originally operating as PRL Racing in 2007, PRL was officially founded just outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania by Patrick R Linn. The brand was built with racing, performance and innovation at heart. The group officially changed its name to PRL Motorsports in 2011 when our team decided to begin offering our specialties through tuning and installation services and product manufacturing. Quickly, the company established a strong reputation in the Honda, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Subaru and custom fabrication market with our various innovative products. Over the years our focus has shifted towards developing entire platform performance product lines, specializing in products such as intercooler systems, intake systems, turbocharger systems, exhaust components, throttle body/intake manifold adapters, and much more.

Despite all of the growth and changes, our primary values still remain the same: to provide proven, premium, high-performance products with fitment and ease of installation in mind. Our team shares a passion for high-performance vehicles, with grassroots experience in racing, tuning, fabrication and wrenching dating back to the 1990’s. All PRL Motorsports products are professionally engineered, tested, manufactured and packaged in-house and back by our reputable customer service to exceed customer expectations; by enthusiasts, for enthusiasts.

Premium Automotive Performance - A History

In the beginning, the team built and raced various high-powered vehicles such as the RWD Nissan S13 and S15 chassis.

2007: PRL Racing Nissan S13 running 9 second ¼ mile passes

2009: PRL Racing & Mazworx Nissan S15 running 6 second ¼ mile passes

After a few years Patrick began competitive racing in the Sports Car Club of America sanctioned events, Grand AM series and Mazda series around the United States. The team used its reputation and know-how to begin tuning chassis and renting out open-wheel racecars to international drivers, as well as begin offering ECU tuning and labor services for road vehicles.

2011: PRL Motorsports open wheel racecar program with Sports Car Club of America sanctioned events, Grand Am series and Mazda series

Quickly PRL established a strong reputation in the Honda, Acura, and Nissan world (and in later years into Subaru). By 2014, growing public demand for the PRL brand caused the company’s goals to change, resulting in the selling of all of racing assets. The PRL Motorsports product vision has always been to develop and produce proven, high-end performance products with ease of installation in mind.

In the end of 2018, installation and tuning services were eliminated to allocate resources solely on the manufacturing of PRL Motorsports branded product lines to continue their vision and market demand. Over the years, PRL has drastically grown from its original team of three enthusiasts and now employs 25+ highly trained individuals. PRL Motorsports takes pride on their in-house production capabilities, from a full fabrication & welding shop to fully functioning CNC machine shop with automated cutting, dual-spindle CNC lathe, 3-axis, 5-axis, horizontal milling with pallet-changers and automated robotic loading capabilities. These pallet-changing machines, robotic arms and multiple high-production, horizontal CNC machines have allowed PRL to increase production volume and production time by operating 24 hours per day.
