Description

Packing the air-flow equivalent of much larger, conventional throttle plates, these barrel throttles have been designed for four valves per cylinder, oval intake port engines, like the new Ford “Coyote” 5.0.

At Wide Open Throttle there are no parasitic airflow losses as with a conventional throttle shaft and plate arrangement and airspeed is aided by the relatively small cross section of the barrel itself.

Combined with BORLA’s short, 18 degree manifold, which matches the port angle in the cylinder head, this must be the ultimate throttle concept for this new engine.
